Education Bachground
I started playing the violin at the age of 5. My beginning violin teacher is Mr. Dengyun Wang, who is a violin professor in Nanjing Art Institute. During the studying time with professor Wang, I had won many Chinese national violin competitions such as the gold medal of Nanjing Youth Instruments Competition, the gold medal of Feng Ling Cup Violin Competition, the gold medal of Wen Da Cup New Talent Competition and the bronze medal in National Xia Men Violin Competition. Years later, I went to Beijing to study with Mr. Chai Liang, the chief violin professor in Central Conservatory of Music and got coached by Legendary Chinese violin educator YaoJi Lin as well. Soon after studying with Professor Chai in Beijing, I was recommended by him to go to the US to study with Mr. Yiwen Jiang, the violinist of the internationally well-known Shanghai String Quartet with the highest scholarship in Montclair State University. During the studying in the United States, I have attended the master class of violinist Cho-Liang Lin and Ida Kavafian. In 2012, I went to Bowdoin Music Festival to perform and study with Professor Cyrus Forough, who was a pupil of the legendary violinist David Oistrakh. I have lately collaborated with Ron Levy, an internationally acclaimed pianist in several concerts in New Jersey and New York. My other violin teachers include violinist Weigang Li, the violin member of Shanghai String Quartet, Boris Kucharsky (Yehudi Menuhins student) and violinist Mr. Kopelman (Borodin String Quartet and Kopelman string quartet). In 2014, I got accepted in the violin master program of Longy School of Music with scholarship to study with Professor Jesse Mills and I was also offered to be the teaching assistant of Longy School of Music from 2014.
