Personal Statement
As a guitar teacher, I teach my students to play the guitar in a way that can be applied to playing many different styles. I teach chords; chord progressions; rhythm guitar technique; scales/modes; arpeggios; lead guitar technique; music theory and its application in performing, composing, and arranging music; standard music notation reading/sight-reading; fingerstyle/classical technique; and bass guitar technique(bass guitar lessons). I apply the topics covered to the learning of various well known songs from different styles. I also help my students learn songs that they are interested in playing.
