McHenry County is a fast-growing area located equidistant from Chicago, Milwaukee and Rockford. The McHenry County Music Center offers private instruction in orchestral instruments, piano, voice, guitar and musicianship. Where appropriate, Suzuki pedagogy is used. Currently, over 200 students study with a faculty of 19. There is an active chamber music program and MCMC students appear in 12 recitals each year. The McHenry County Youth Orchestras include 3 ensembles divided by achievement and age. They will celebrate their 25th anniversary in the 2004-2005 season. The newest ensemble, The Contemporary Children’s Choir, is for singers in grades 2 - 9 (also divided into three groups by age, background and achievement) and presents two major concerts each season. All faculty have music degrees, and/or specialized advanced training, many with advanced degrees or performers' certificates. Early childhood programs (Kindermusik and Music Together) are offered.

I am considering attending your workshop. Please contact me with further information. Thank you.
