Everyone can make music with the right training! I tailor lessons to meet each student's personal needs and goals. I am currently finishing a Masters of Music in Music Education from University of the Arts and have a Bachelor's degree in Music Education with a concentration in Flute from The College of New Jersey. I have been teaching General Music for grades K-8, and Band for the past several years at a local public school.
I have significant training in music pedagogy. This includes full certification of the Orff-Schulwerk approach from Villanova University and a level of certification for the Kodaly method from the Hartt School. In addition I have training in Dalcroze Eurythmics.
This training and certification enables me to teach the whole child musicianship and theory as an integral part of learning an instrument.
