Accent07 is a chamber music festival offering internationally recognized artist-faculty. Ensemble activities are supported by daily private lessons, classes, and orchestra rehearsals. We welcome pre-formed ensembles. Ensembles and classes are arranged by level as well as by age. This one-week intensive program is opened by a faculty concert, and showcases its participants with concerts during the week. Concerto competitions and daily master classes provide further performance opportunities. Accent07 is open to college students, as well as strong high school students with a solid background in either woodwind instruments, brass instruments, stringed instruments, piano, percussions, voice or composition. Crescendo07, the young musicians division of A07, is open to high school and middle school students. Accent07 can be taken for one or two undergraduate credits. Accent07 is closely connected with Music07, the CCM festival of new music for professional musicians and graduate students: the two programs some common faculty, and a joint master class. Our composition students will be scheduled to attend Music07 master classes. The series of Music07 concerts presented each evening offers a high level exposure to new music available to all Accent07 participants.
